More than 250 songs already submitted to Germany’s selection for the Eurovision 2023

There are new details about Unser Lied für Liverpool. The event will select Germany’s representative at the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2023.

According to the website ESC Kompakt, Stefan Leidner, who works with the broadcaster NDR, said that more than 250 have already been received. Record labels were contacted in order to encourage the submission of songs.

Apparently, eight to ten songs may be selected. In addition, there is one place for the competition on TikTok, in which artists can apply by posting their proposal under the hashtag #UnserLiedfürLiverpool until November 28.

As for the location of Unser Lied für Liverpool, Stefan Leidner told that it is still an open matter: Berlin, Cologne, Leipzig and Munich are the possible options. On the other hand, the public’s online voting may be mixed with the televoting. It isn’t yet known whether there will be an international jury.
