Lord of the Lost will represent Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2023, after winning the Unser Lied für Liverpool with the song Blood & Glitter.

After Frida Gold withdrawn due to a health issue, eight contestants took the stage. TRONG opened the running order, which was closed by Lord of the Lost.

There were also special performances: with the guests BossHoss feat. Ilse DeLang (Netherlands’ representative at ESC 2014 with The Common Linnets) singing the song You; Florian Silbereisen, Riccardo Simonetti and Malik Harris (Germany’s representative at ESC 2022); and the participants performed a medley of several ESC songs.

The results were dictated by the international jury from eight countries and the public. The jury preferred Will Church and the song Hold On, who only missed the 12 points from two juries.

As for the public, it voted clearly for Lord of the Lost, giving 146 points. The band accumulated 189 points and was the big winner. Ikke Hüftgold came second with 111 points.
