Image credits: Sarah Louise Bennett / EBU Käärija is one of the big candidates to win the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2023, but he isn’t feeling the pressure. The singer represents Finland with the song Cha Cha Cha.
During a press conference, the artist was asked if being one of the favorites is making him feel pressure. Käärija made sure that he doesn’t feel that: “I don’t want to take any pressure, because this is once a life time. I’m here now, and I’m just trying to enjoy. Sometimes it’s really hard to enjoy because all people wants something. And I just want to put my focus in practice and training. And I think we have here many good artists; we all are winners now. All people here want to win, and also me”.
Asked if he would want to tweak his performance for the final, Käärija answered: “Maybe not, because I’m here now and I got the place in the final. Maybe it’s good things, I think so. I just go and do my best, and let’s see what happen”.
