Iceland will be represented by Hera Björk and the song Scared of Heights at the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2024. The final of the national selection, Söngvakeppnin, took place this Saturday in Reykjavik.
The five finalists took to the stage again. Only VÆB kept their lyrics from the semi-final, with all others switching from Icelandic to English.
In the first round, both the public and the jury voted, each with a 50 percent weight in the result. The two most voted entries advanced to the Superfinal: Bashar Murad and Hera Björk.
In the Superfinal, the public voted again, with the results accumulating from the previous round. In the end, Hera Björk was the winner, with the song Scared of Heights, and will thus represent Iceland at ESC 2024.
