Gaia Gambuzza was elected to represent Malta at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest (JESC)Ā 2022. She will perform the song Diamonds in the Skies.
The Malta Junior Eurovision Song Contest (MJESC) took place this Sunday at the Reddiffusion House in GwardamanĔa. In addition to the 16 contestants, the show also featured special performances by three former Maltese representatives at JESC: Gianluca Cilia (2017), Eliana Gomez Blanco (2019) and Ike & Kaya (2021).
The results were determined by the jury (75 percent) and the televote from the public (25 percent). In the end, just the top three was revealed.
Gaia Gambuzza won ahead of Andrea Camilleri, with Emma Kate Formosa rounding up the podium. Thus, Gaia Gambuzza will defend Malta at JESC 2022. The event is scheduled for December 11 in Yerevan (Armenia).
