

The last six finalists of Festival da Canção 2023 were qualified tonight. The second semi-final of Portugal’s selection for the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) took place at RTP studios in Lisbon.
Ten participants performed tonight, with Edmundo Inácio being the first. Voodoo Marmalade were the last to take the stage. After the competing performances, some guests performed, including Carlos Mendes (Portugal’s representative at ESC in 1968 and 1972) and Nicolas Alves, who gave Portugal the best result at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest (JESC) last year.
The qualified acts were announced in random order. The first five were decided by the jury and the public in equal parts of 50 percent. Ivandro, Edmundo Inácio, Bárbara Tinoco, Voodoo Marmalade and INÊS APENAS. Afterwards, the public voted in a second round with the four remaining participants and selected Dapunksportiff as the last finalist.
These six finalists join the seven who were qualified in the first semi-final one week ago. The grand final of Festival da Canção will be next Saturday, March 11.
