Eurovision Schedule, 17/02/2024: Four finals and two semi-finals, how to follow everything

Another «Super Saturday» on the agenda. Four countries will choose their representative at the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2024 today, February 17th. In two others, the semi-finals or heats continue.

Finals

Moldova/Etapa Națională – Final (17h00, YouTube ESC)

Opening the Saturday of national selections is the National Stage 2024, which chooses the Moldovan representative. It takes place at the TRM studios in Chișinău. After last January’s auditions, 11 contestants remain. The show’s hosts are Doina Stimpovschii and Ion Jalbă, while the results are determined by the jury and the public in equal parts of 50%. There are several options to watch the live broadcast starting at 18h00 (CET time), including the official ESC YouTube channel at this link.

Estonia/Eesti Laul – Final (18h30, YouTube ESC)

Ten contestants will compete this Saturday to represent Estonia at ESC 2024, in the Eesti Laul final held at the Tondiraba Ice Hall in Tallinn with hosts Grete Kuld and Tõnis Niinemets. In the first round, all participants will perform. The international jury and the public, equally counting 50%, determine the results. The top three advance to the Super Final, where the public will choose the winner. The show can be watched on the official ESC YouTube channel, scheduled for 18h30. Guest acts include Alika (last year’s winner) with Bedwetters, HND, Gameboy Tetris, Eleryn Tiit, Muteko Taiko, Dance Republic Tantsukool, and Arop.

Denmark/Dansk Melodi Grand Prix (20h00, DR 1)

Denmark is another country deciding its representative for ESC 2024 this Saturday. Dansk Melodi Grand Prix features eight contestants and operates with a voting system of 50% jury and 50% public vote. A first round includes all finalists, but the top three voted proceed to a Super Final to determine the winner. Scheduled for 20h00 at DR Koncerthuset in Copenhagen, the final will be broadcast live on DR1 through this link. The hosts are Sara Bro and Stéphanie Surrugue.

Lithuania/Eurovizija.LT – Final (20h00, YouTube ESC)

After six weeks, Eurovizija.LT concludes with the grand final. There are ten finalists, including The Roop, who seek their third victory in four years. In the first round, both the public and the jury vote, each with a 50% weight. The top three proceed to the Super Final, where the winner is decided entirely by the public. Also guest acts will take the stage, including the 2023 winner, Monika Linkytė. Set for 20h00, the Eurovizija.LT final takes place at the Švyturys Arena in Klaipėda and can be watched here on the official ESC YouTube channel. The hosts are Gabrielė Martirosian and Nombeko Augustė Khotseng, with Nerijus Triilikauskas in the green room.

Semi-finals/Heats

Sweden/Melodifestivalen – Heat 3 (20h00, SVT)

Melodifestivalen 2024 continues this Saturday with the third heat, at the Vida Arena in Växjö. Six more contestants compete for the two direct spots in the final and the two in the runoff, which will act as a kind of second chance round. Results will be determined solely by public vote. The broadcast is on the SVT website starting at 20h00.

 

Iceland/Söngvakeppnin – Semi-final 1 (20h45, RÚV)

This Saturday marks the beginning of Söngvakeppnin, Iceland’s selection for ESC 2024. The first five contestants take the stage at the Truenorth studios in Reykjavik. The public decides the results, and two songs will advance directly to the final. Starting at 20h45, the show will be broadcast live on RÚV at this link.
