There is already a date for the draw of the semi-finals of the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2023: it will be on January 31st at 20:00 (CET). Rylan and AJ Odudu will be the hosts.
The event also marks the handover ceremony between the 2022 host city (Turin) ant this year’s host city (Liverpool). Afterwards, the semi-finalist countries will be allocated and distributed between the two semifinals (scheduled for May 9th and May 11th). According to ESC’s official website, the draw will be assisted by young people from a local school in Liverpool and members of the Ukrainian community who settled in the city after the outbreak of the war.
The live stream will be available on ESC’s official YouTube channel. Those from the United Kingdom also can watch on BBC 2 and BBC iPlayer. Remember that, due to the war, the 2022 winning country, Ukraine, cannot host the ESC this year and the United Kingdom will host the event on behalf of Ukraine.
