Image credits: © Celina Øier, NRK Days after the final of the Melodi Grand Prix 2024, detailed results of the show were revealed, culminating in the victory of Gåte. The band was thus selected to represent Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) with the song Ulveham.
The winners garnered 76,672 votes from the public, compared to the 64,257 votes for KEiiNO, who came in second (both in the public vote and in the overall ranking).
KEiiNO received the most votes from the international jury, the composition of which was also announced. Among the jurors, several artists who have participated in the ESC can be found: Alika Milova, Aysel Temurzade, Diljá Pétursdóttir, Nadir Rustamli, Ott Lepland, and Remo Forrer.
Gåte ended the Melodi Grand Prix with 250 points, only six more than KEiiNO, who came in second. The top three was completed by Super Rob and Erika Norwich.
