Bambie Thug will represent Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2024 with the song Doomsday Blue, after winning the Eurosong this Friday.
The country’s selection was held in a special episode of The Late Late Show. There were six competing songs. Isabella Kearney was the first to perform, while Next in Line were the last taking the stage.
In addition to the participants, Kalush Orchestra also performed, singing the song Stefania – with which they won ESC 2022 for Ukraine.
The results were dictated by an international jury (giving the maximum score to Next in Line), an Irish jury and the public televote. Bambie Thug received 12 points from the national jury and the public, and with the eight from the international jury scored 32 to win.
