Austria has chosen Kaleen as its representative for the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2024. She was selected by a professional jury and fan clubs among 14 acts in the live audition stage. The song will be revealed later on.

Having learned ballet and dance as a child, participating in various national and international competitions with several titles, Kaleen has been a choreographer and coach on the Starmania program since 2020. Her first self-produced single was released in 2021, and she launched her debut album last September.

Kaleen is not new to the ESC. Since 2018, she has been involved in rehearsals as a stand-in, and in 2018, she was even a dancer and choreographer in the interval act. In 2021, she was the creative director for Bulgaria and Spain at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, and in 2022, she was the creative director for Spain and the stage director. Last year, she was in ESC 2023 supporting Austria, Germany, Armenia, and Georgia.

In a statement, the singer said: “I still haven’t understood that I will be on this stage as an artist. I love the world of spotlights and cameras, and the fact that I can take people to another world there. These moments are very precious. I worked hard for this, and I am proud to show the world what I can do. I am really looking forward to this!”.

Stefanie Groiss-Horowitz, ORF’s program director, commented, “With Kaleen, we send an artist to the festival who knows all the tricks of the game: she sings, she dances, she choreographs, and she is an absolute ESC insider. So, we won’t lack a beat to set off a big fireworks show on the stage in Malmö”.
