Image credits: Andres Putting The 33 participants in the live auditions of the Etapa Naţională 2023 were revealed. The show will select the Moldova’s representative at the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC)… and the list includes three former representatives of the country.
Aliona Moon, Pasha Parfeny and SunStrok Project (who gave to Moldova its best result in ESC being third in 2017) are in the running to this year’s Moldova selection. There are 33 songs from 32 artists reaching the audition stage, among the 60 applications that were sent.
Pasha Parfeny represented Moldova in 2012 and was 11th, while in the following year Aliona Moon took the country to the same result. SunStroke Project represented Moldova two times: in 2010 with Olia Tira were 22nd and in 2017 they finished third.
The live auditions will take place on January 28th from 13h00 (CET), being broadcasted live on Moldova 2 channel. A jury composed of three to five members will decide the ten qualifiers for the final, who will be announced on the same day at 16:30 on the Moldova 1 channel.
The final will be held on a day between February 25th and March 5th, with the results being determined by the combination, in equal parts, of the jury voting and the public voting.
