Image credits: BBC / Justin Downing Returning to theĀ Junior Eurovision Song ContestĀ (JESC) after 17 years, theĀ United KingdomĀ will be represented byĀ Freya SkyeĀ with the songĀ Lose My Head in this year’s edition. The event will take place on December 11 in Yerevan (Armenia).
The 13-year-old artist was internally chosen by the broadcaster BBC. She started releasing music during the lockdown caused by the pandemic in 2020.
The songĀ Lose My Head is about friendship. The songwriters are Amber Van Day, Falco Van Den Aker and Jack Hawitt ā a team that has already worked with artists such as Ava Max, Megan Thee Stallion or Pharrell Williams.
Speaking to the BBC website, Freya Skye commented: āI feel so lucky to have been given the opportunity to be a part of something so excitingā.
