According to the singer, the lyrics address an orphan who travels throughout Europe and nearby areas to find and tell his story – also being a tribute to his father.
Europapa can be defined as «gabber pop» and is written by Joost Klein in collaboration with Dylan van Dael, Donny Ellerström, Paul Elstak, Teun de Kruif, Thijmen Melissant, and Tim Haars.
