The semifinal of Eesti Laul 2024 took place this Saturday, determining the last five finalists in Estonia’s selection for the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC).
Fifteen participants performed in Tartu, competing for the five spots. 5MIINUST x Puuluup were the first to take the stage, while Ewert and the Two Dragons were the last to perform.
In addition to the contestants, Anett Kulbin with the band Angus performed “Tattoo,” the song with which Loreen won the ESC 2023 for Sweden. The opening act featured the dance group Põmaki!.
Three of the qualifiers were determined by a 50/50 combination of public and jury votes. The remaining two finalists were chosen solely by the public in a second round of voting.
The qualifiers are 5MIINUST x Puuluup, Anet Vaikmaa, Ewert and the Two Dragons, OLLIE, and Peter Põder. They join the five pre-qualified acts on the final, scheduled for February 17.
