This Saturday, the finalists of the Etapa Naţională 2023 were selected. The event elects the representative of Moldova in the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC).

The candidates performed during the live auditions at TRM Studios in Chișinău. A jury scored each of the performances and the ten with most points qualified for the final. Sunstroke Project, who are trying to participate in the ESC for the third time, finished first.

There was one disqualification: LOLA, who didn’t attend the live auditions. The jury featured Crudu Daniela (journalist), Ion Chiorpec (head of Radio Moldova Muzical), Liviu Știrbu (composer) and by Violeta Julea (performer).

The final of the Etapa Naţională will be on March 4th and will be broadcast online and on TV Moldova 1. The results will be determined by the public and by the jury, each voting with a weight of 50 percent.

2nd. Pasha Parfeni: Soarele şi luna – 53 points
3rd. Donia: Red Zone – 52 points
4th. Aliona Moon: Du-mă – 49 points
5th. OL: Why You Play It Cool – 48 points
6th. Surorile Osoianu: Bade, bădişor, bădiţă – 47 points
7th. NÖRDIKA: Damn and Down – 45 points
8th. Victor Gulick: Let’s Dance – 45 points
9th. COSMINA: Indestructible – 45 points
10th. Corina Ivanov: When Love’s Real – 44 points
