The venues of the three Eesti Laul 2023 shows were revealed. The event is the Estonia’s selection for the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC).
Last Thursday, Eesti Laul’s head producer and the country’s head of delegation, Tomi Rahula, announced that the two semifinals will be at the Viimsi Artium in Viimsi. As for the grand final, it will take place at the Tondiraba Ice Hall in Tallinn.
This will be the first time since 2019 that the Eesti Laul semifinals will not be held in Tallinn. The Viimsi Artium is also home to the Vimsi Music School, Viimsi School of Arts and the Science Center.
As for the Tondiraba Ice Hall, it’s a multipurpose arena in the Estonian capital, Tallinn, which mainly hosts sporting events. For the first time since 2016, the Eesti Laul final will not be held at Saku Suurhal.
Next year, Eesti Laul will feature 20 competing songs. The semifinals will be on January 12 and 14, while the final is scheduled for February 11.
