The candidates to represent Poland at the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2023 are already known. They will participate at the Tu bije serce Europy – Wybieramy hit na Eurowizję!.
There are ten finalists in the Polish selection, with the performers and song titles now announced. At this point, four of the songs have already been released. Among the artists there is a name well known to the Eurovision audience: Alicja Szemplińska, who was selected to represent Poland at ESC 2020, before the cancellation.
TVP has the right to give a wildcard to a participant who didn’t submit an entry beforehand or who was eliminated, so there may still be 11 finalists.
The Tu bije serce Europy final will take place on February 26th and will feature two rounds of voting. In the first one, the public (50 percent) and the jury (50 percent) will choose three songs that will go on to the second round. In that one, the scores reset to zero, the jury will vote on a scale of 1 to 3 and the public will also vote. In case of a tie, the jury prevails.
