The visual and sonic identity of the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2025 has been revealed. The event will take place in Basel, Switzerland, next May.

The design was created by Art Director Artur Deyneuve, who, according to the official ESC website, aimed “to create a design that made people feel heard and valued”. The inspiration comes from Switzerland’s tradition of direct democracy, which is based on listening and dialogue.

This message will also be conveyed through the ESC heart symbol, “which stands for dialogue, unity and the unifying power of music”. These pulsating hearts are incorporated into the design, symbolizing the unity of millions of people through the ESC.

Co-executive producers Moritz Stadler and Reto Peritz stated on the event’s website: “Artur’s well-thought-out design is emotionally engaging and takes Eurovision to another level. The Eurovision heart beats in time with the rhythm, symbolising the unifying power of music. True to the Eurovision slogan «United by Music», it will bring people together all over the world”.

As for the sonic identity, it combines traditional and modern elements, featuring a powerful beat with elements of traditional Swiss music, such as yodelling, drum corps, and sounds from the hackbrett and alphorns. Artur Deyneuve explained: “We’ve created a bold, high-energy track, which will prepare the audience for an unforgettable experience with its pumping beats and surprising musical effects”.
