Pictures credits: © Sarah Louise Bennett / EBU Although they are automatically qualified for the Grand Final, three more of the Big 5 countries took to the stage this Thursday during the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2025.
Following the performances by Italy, Spain, and host country Switzerland in Semi-Final 1, it was now time for France, Germany, and the United Kingdom to perform on the stage of St. Jakobshalle – slotting in between the competing entries in semi-final 2.
This marked the first live presentation of each of these entries to both the global audience and those in the arena, although these performances had no bearing on the competition itself.
