This Thursday, the song that Claude will use to represent the Netherlands at the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2025 was released: C’est La Vie.

The song was written by the performer himself, along with Arno Krabman, Joren van der Voort, and Leon Paul Palmen, while the production was handled by Arno Krabman and Joren van der Voort. The song was launched with an official music video, directed by Ivan Boljat and produced by 10/10.

Claude explained the meaning behind his song: “C’est La Vie is a tribute to a relative, and for me, it’s my mother. She allowed me, as a child and throughout my childhood, the possibility to see the positive side of the things you go through in life, even if you face adversity. Although it may seem very dark at times, there is always a bright side to focus on. That is exactly the message I want to convey. Life is not always easy; it has its ups and downs, and twists, but C’est La Vie [That’s Life].”
