There is still no concrete date for when the United Kingdom’s representative at the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2025 will be revealed.
The BBC released an update on Monday regarding the selection of the UK’s participant and song, clarifying the selection process. The statement reads:
– The process to choose the act and song that will represent the United Kingdom at Eurovision Song Contest in 2025 is an internal selection process with the BBC and BBC Studios (the production arm of the BBC) collaborating together to make the decision. Specifically BBC Studios have partnered with a leading UK music industry figure. Together they are working with UK record labels, publishers, songwriters, BBC Music and BBC Introducing to source the UK entry and song.
The specific date for the announcement was not mentioned, with the note only stating: “The act and song will be publicly announced before the European Broadcasting Union’s [EBU] deadline in March 2025”.
