About two weeks ago, the «Big» participants were announced, and this Wednesday the RAI broadcaster revealed the titles of all the songs. As usual, these will only be released after the first performances at the event.
The announcement took place during the final of Sanremo Giovani 2024, which was won by Alex Wyse, Maria Tomba, Settembre, and Vale LP & Lil Jolie. They will now participate in the Nuove Proposte section, which will open the second, third, and fourth nights and will have a separate winner.
The Sanremo Festival will take place from February 11 to 15 at the Teatro Ariston in Sanremo. On the first night, the 30 «Big» contestants will perform their respective songs and will be voted on by a jury consisting of press, TV, and web. On the second night, 15 of the contestants will perform and will be voted on by a radio jury and televote (each component will count for 50%). The same will happen on the third night, with the remaining 15 participants.
On the fourth night, in which the Nuove Proposte winner will be determined, the 30 «Big» will perform a cover of a song of their choice, being voted on by a jury of press, TV, and web (33%), radio (33%), and televote (34%). This night, dedicated to covers, will have its own winner and will not count toward the overall results.
Finally, on the last night, the 30 contestants will perform their competing songs again, and the results will be defined by the combination from the previous night. At the end, the final ranking will be determined between the sixth and 30th places. The top five will go to a new voting phase with the press jury (33%), radio (33%), and televote (34%), where the grand winner will be chosen.
