

The second semi-final of Söngvakeppnin 2025 took place this Saturday in Reykjavik. The last three finalists for Iceland’s selection for the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) were chosen.
Five contestants performed: Dagur Sig was the first to perform, while Tinna closed the performance order for the night. The show opened with a performance by guest Yohanna, who gave Iceland its best result at ESC in 2009 by finishing second.
There was also an interval act by Helgi Björnsson and GDRN, with presenters Benedikt Valsson, Fannar Sveinsson, and Guðrún Dís Emilsdóttir, singing the song Think About Things by Daði og Gagnamagnið.
In the end, the results were announced with only the three qualifiers for the final revealed: Bjarni Arason, Júlí og Dísa, and Tinna. The results were determined exclusively by the public.
