The Chefsache ESC 2025, Germany’s new selection for the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC), kicked off this Friday.
The first heat featured 12 of the 24 participants, who competed for seven spots in the semi-final. They performed covers or previously released songs, so no potential ESC entries for Germany were heard yet.
The results were decided solely by a professional jury, with only the qualifiers revealed: Abor & Tynna, Benjamin Braatz, Cage, COSBY, Feuerschwanz, Jonathan Henrich, and JULIKA.
The remaining semi-finalists will be announced tomorrow in the second heat. The semi-final will take place on February 22, where participants will perform their songs for ESC. Nine will advance to the final on March 1.
