Sweden has chosen KAJ and the song Bara bada bastu at the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2025. The final of Melodifestivalen took place this Saturday at the Strawberry Arena in Stockholm.

Hosted by Edvin Törnblom and Keyyo, the show featured 12 contestants: John Lundvik performed first, while KAJ was the last to take the stage.

To add some sparkle to the event, there were also special guests: last year ESC winner, Nemo opening the show; the Lili & Susie, Medina, Petra Mede, and Sarek, who were inducted into the Hall of Fame.

The results were determined by an international jury and the public, each with a 50 percent weight. First, the international jury’s votes were revealed, with Måns Zelmerlöw receiving 76 points.

The public favored KAJ, awarding them 90 points. In the combined voting, KAJ and the song Bara bada bastu emerged victorious, scoring a total of 164 points. Thus, they will represent Sweden at ESC 2025 in May in Basel.
