- Format: The contestants perform in a single round, with the results decided solely by the public. The top two qualify for the final, while the third and fourth go to the «final qual», a kind of second-chance round that will take place within the heat 5 show.
- Additional details: As is traditional, Melodifestivalen will visit several Swedish cities. The first heat will take place in Luleå. In this heat, an ex-ESC participant is competing: John Lundvik, who represented Sweden in 2019. Käärija and Hooja are confirmed as interval acts, performing their new song San Francisco Boy.
