The candidates to represent Denmark at the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2025 are already known. The participants in the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix were revealed this Thursday, along with the songs.
There are eight competitors, selected by the broadcaster DR from the applications submitted between September 16 and October 27 of last year. The final will take place on March 1 at the Jyske Bank Boxen Arena in Herning, also featuring two guest artists: Birthe Kjær and last year’s winner, Saba. The hosts will be Sara Bro and Stéphanie Surrugue.
Erik Struve Hansen, editor and program director at DR for the MGP, said in a statement: “We are very happy with the lineup that is in the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix this year. Viewers can start to rejoice – there are 8 strong songs and some terrific singers and performers who will deliver them. […]. Even though we live in a time where we rarely watch TV at the same time, Dansk Melodi Grand Prix continues to have a special ability to bring us together year after year”.
