In 2025, the San Marino Song Contest will serve as San Marino’s selection for the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC). The name changes, but the format remains the same as Una Voce per San Marino.
The broadcaster San Marino RTV unveiled the plans for the upcoming season, along with technological and production investment strategies for the coming years. Owned 50% by RAI, the network has faced heavy debts over the past two years. Now, it has a planned investment of around one million euros for the 2024-2026 period, according to Prima Online.
The goal is to increase revenue by improving the offerings not only in San Marino but also in Italy, in order to attract more sponsors. These plans include the ESC selection process, which will now be named the San Marino Song Contest.
A new logo and updated regulations will also be introduced, with the final scheduled for March 8. It will be a reinterpretation of Una Voce per San Marino, but no significant changes are expected in the format. Auditions are already underway, and the production will continue to be handled by Icon & Media Evolution.
