Less than two weeks remain until the songs and performers for the Festival da Canção 2025 are revealed. This event determines Portugal’s representative at the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC).

Following the announcement of the 20 composers at the end of last year, broadcaster RTP is now set to officially unveil the event. The performers and songs will be disclosed, with additional details such as the hosts also expected to be revealed.

The dates are already set: the semi-finals will take place on February 22 and March 1, while the grand final is scheduled for March 8. Since 2021, all the shows have been held at RTP studios in Lisbon.

In December, the allocation of composers for each semi-final was also decided. As in 2024, six contestants from each of the two semi-finals will qualify, resulting in a 12-song final lineup.
