This Wednesday, Malta’s selection for the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2025 was launched – the Malta Eurovision Song Contest (MESC).
The broadcaster PBS revealed the 24 participants and their respective songs, as well as assigning them to each of the semifinals. It was also announced who will perform first and last in each semi-final: Mark Anthony Bartolo will be the first to perform in semi-final 1, with Kurt Calleja closing the show. Meanwhile, semi-final 2 will be opened by Kelsey Bellante and closed by Miguel Bonello.
But the news didn’t stop there. The stage design was also revealed, along with the new visual identity and the slogan, #Together4Music.
The first semi-final of the MESC will be held on February 4, with the second semi-final taking place on February 6. The grand final is scheduled for February 8, featuring 16 songs. All shows will take place at the Malta Fairs & Conventions Centre in Ta’ Qali. Results will be determined by both the jury and the public.
