The candidates to represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2025 will soon be revealed. The participants in Melodifestivalen 2025 will be announced on November 26, next week.
The broadcaster SVT will hold a press conference in Stockholm, during which the 30 participants will be unveiled. A total of 2,794 songs were submitted, but these will only be released later.
Swedish media has been speculating about the artists who might compete, and among the names suggested by Aftonbladet are Måns Zelmerlöw (ESC 2015 winner), Arvingarna (ESC 1993), and John Lundvik (ESC 2019), as well as former Melodifestivalen participants.
The 2025 edition’s format remains unchanged, with five heats and a final touring six cities across Sweden. The first heat will take place on February 1 in Luleå, while the grand final is scheduled for March 8 in Stockholm.
