Bashar Murad seems determined to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2025. The Palestinian artist is rumored to have submitted applications in three countries: Ireland, San Marino, and again, Iceland.
This year, Bashar Murad participated in the Icelandic selection with the song Wild West, finishing in second place behind Hera Björk. The artist himself hinted, without confirming, on social media that he may have sent applications to the three mentioned countries for 2025.
Iceland is expected to select again through Söngvakeppnin, while Ireland has already confirmed the Eurosong and San Marino will once again have Una Voce per San Marino as its selection.
Bashar Murad’s desire to reach the ESC stage is strong. His voice, as well as his sound that blends modern pop elements with Arabic influences, make him a plausible choice. However, to make his intentions a reality, he will now need to go through several stages in any of the three countries.
