There have been over 1,200 applicants for San Marino’s selection for the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2025, Una Voce per San Marino.

The casting phase has concluded, and the semifinals will take place from February 13 to 15. According to the broadcaster SMRTV, there are candidates from 48 countries, including some outside Europe like Brazil, Canada, and Suriname. The number of applications has increased by 30 percent compared to last year.

This year, San Marino’s selection will feature four semifinals, each selecting two finalists, plus a fifth semifinal exclusively for artists from the micro-state, with one candidate advancing.

The final of the San Marino Song Contest will take place on March 8. Unlike previous years, it is expected that the judges will publicly announce their votes. The artistic director, Massimo Bonelli, will have ten points to allocate to one candidate.
