Picture credits: © SRG SSR Radical changes are being made to the availability of material for the press and fans during the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2025 – specifically during the rehearsal phase.
Oksana Skybinska, head of the Ukrainian delegation, revealed in a video shared by OGAE Ukraine on the ESC Discord that no videos from the first rehearsals of each country will be released.
Instead, only three photos from each rehearsal will be provided. These rehearsals are held behind closed doors, with no press allowed in the arena, as a way to protect the well-being of the contestants during their preparation phase.
Restricting access also helps maintain suspense for the public a little longer, building more anticipation and excitement for the live shows, which are what truly matter in the competition and for television audiences.
