It seems less likely that Olly will represent Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2025, despite having the right to do so after winning the Sanremo Festival.
Journalist Luca Dondoni from La Stampa, citing contacts with the singer’s manager, reports that it is highly likely Olly will not accept to participate in ESC 2025.
Olly has several concerts scheduled for May, which would need to be postponed if he were to participate. If he declines, RAI will have to give the opportunity to the highest-placed artist from the Sanremo Festival who is willing to accept. Lucio Corsi came second.
A confirmation is expected either tomorrow or, at the latest, by Sunday, as RAI gave Olly a week to make a decision on the matter.
