Olly won the Sanremo Festival 2025 with the song Balorda nostalgia. Now, it remains to be seen if he has expressed interest in representing Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC).
There were 29 contestants who returned to the stage of the Teatro Ariston this Saturday, in a gala opened by Francesca Michielin and closed by Sarah Toscano in terms of competing performances.
Guests also graced the stage, including Mahmood (who won Sanremo and represented Italy at ESC in 2019 and 2022) and Gabry Ponte, who composed the official theme of Sanremo 2025, Tutta l’Italia.
The results were the product of accumulated votes throughout the week and on the night: press room/TV/web (33%), radio jury (33%), and public vote (34%).
In the first phase, the ranking of the 29 contestants was determined, with the top five advancing to the Super Final: Brunori Sas, Fedez, Lucio Corsi, Olly, and Simone Cristicchi.
The five returned for the voting, which continued to accumulate, and in the end, the results of the top five were announced. The victory went to Olly, with Balorda nostalgia, receiving 23.8%. It was just 0.4% more than Lucio Corsi, who finished in second place

Thus, Olly has the right to represent Italy at ESC. However, if he has not expressed interest in doing so beforehand, the right will pass to the next highest-ranked contestant who has shown interest.
