Who will represent Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2025? The question remains unanswered, as Olly has yet to confirm after winning the Sanremo Festival last Saturday. The decision must be made by February 23.

In fact, the performer of Balorda nostalgia admitted on RAI 2 that, due to concerts scheduled for his tour in May, he is considering not participating in the ESC: “With the utmost respect, I know how big and important this event is. But the problem is that I’ve already scheduled tour dates during that period”.

The shows have been sold out for some time, but Olly also doesn’t want to give up the opportunity to represent Italy easily: “It’s a huge opportunity, and I would be incredibly proud to participate, but I need to carefully consider it because of my scheduled concerts”.

Lucio Corsi on the pipeline?

In second place at the Sanremo Festival was Lucio Corsi. The rules state that if the winner refuses, the RAI broadcaster must select the highest-ranked participant who accepts the honor to represent Italy at the ESC. This could be the second-place finisher.

Lucio Corsi, who came second with the song Volevo essere un duro, expressed his enthusiasm to the Italian press about the possibility of representing Italy at the ESC, hinting that he would accept the opportunity if it arises.
