Norway will be represented by Kyle Alessandro at the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2025, with the song Lighter. The Melodi Grand Prix took place this Saturday in Oslo.
In a unique show, unlike in previous years, there were nine participants. Tone Damli opened the performance order, while the ESC 1985 winners, Bobbysocks, were the last to perform. Also performing as guests were Marcus & Martinus, the Swedish representatives from last year.
The results were determined by the public (60%) and the international jury (40%). First, the jury votes were revealed, and they preferred Kyle Alessandro with 118 points.
The public agreed, awarding 189 more points to the performer of Lighter, making him the winner with 307 points. In second place was Nataleen with 190 points, and Bobbysocks rounded out the podium with 164 points.
