Louane was announced this Thursday as France’s representative at the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2025. The singer shared the news with her fans on social media.
In a video, the 28-year-old artist addressed her late mother: “We were light-years away from imagining this was possible, but you dreamed of this. I also dreamed of this, of this life, of this moment. […]. I’m sure you’re proud, watching from afar. I’m going to do this for us, I’m going to do this for our dreams. I will represent France at Eurovision”.
France’s song will be released later, on a date to be announced. Louane gained fame on The Voice at the age of 16, and her songs for the TV series La Famille Bélier captivated millions of people, earning her a César Award – one of many accolades she has received.
With more than three million albums sold, the singer is an icon in France and has also sold-out tours in several European countries.
