Italy will continue participating in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest (JESC) in 2025. The event will take place later this year, with the date and host country yet to be determined.
The broadcaster RAI confirmed its participation to the Eurofestivales website. For now, it is still unknown how the representative and their song will be chosen, after opting in 2023 and 2024 to select a participant from the Italian version of The Voice Kids.
In 2024, Italy achieved its best result in three years, finishing ninth with Simone Grande and the song Pigiama Party. It was the country’s first top ten placement since 2021.
In addition to Italy, five other countries have already confirmed their intention to participate: 2024 winner Georgia, North Macedonia, the Netherlands, Poland, and San Marino. Croatia and Lithuania have not ruled out a return.
