The final of Melodifestivalen 2025 will take place this Saturday, and the details of Sweden’s selection for the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) have been announced.
There are 12 finalists. Unlike the previous eliminations, the results will be determined by an international jury and the public, each holding a 50% weight awarding 464 points.
The international jury will include representatives from France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Norway, Serbia, and the host country of ESC 2025, Switzerland.
As in the ESC, the jury results will be announced first. After the public has had a chance to react, the televote results will be revealed, and the total points will determine the winning song.
The public voting via the app will be divided into age groups: Green (3-9 years), Turquoise (10-15 years), Blue (16-29 years), Purple (30-44 years), Pink (45-59 years), Red (60-74 years), and Orange (>75 years). Those voting by phone will belong to an eighth group with no specific age range.
