Six more contestants have qualified for the grand final of Festival da Canção 2025, which will determine Portugal’s representative at the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC).
The second semi-final took place this Saturday at the RTP studios in Lisbon, hosted by Sónia Araújo and Tânia Ribas de Oliveira. Ten candidates performed: A Cantadeira was the first to take the stage, and HENKA closed the order of performances.
In addition to the contestants, there were also guest performances: Os Assessores, Ana Bacalhau, Sara Correia, and Selma Uamusse marked the 50th anniversary of the Festival da Canção 1975.
In the first round of voting, the jury and the public each had a 50% weight in determining the top five, who immediately advanced to the final: bombazine, Diana Vilarinho, emmy Curl, Fernando Daniel, and NAPA.
The remaining five participants went to a second round of voting, where the public alone awarded the final spot in the grand final on March 2nd to HENKA.
