From Madeira to Eurovision, NAPA represent Portugal

NAPA and the song Deslocado were chosen to represent Portugal at the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2025 with the victory in the Festival da Canção.

The final took place this Saturday at RTP studios in Lisbon, hosted by Filomena Cautela and Vasco Palmeirim. There were 12 finalists, with Bombazine performing first and Diana Vilarinho performing last.

There were performances by special guests performing tonight: last year’s winner, iolanda, João Borsch with Maria João and Huca, as well as Expresso Transatlântico with Ana Lua Caiano and The Legendary Tigerman.

First, the results from the regional jury vote, which accounted for 50% of the total, were revealed. At the top of the vote was Diana Vilarinho, with 57 points, which converted to 12 points in the final scale.

Next, the public votes were revealed, with the 12 points going to HENKA. In the combined results, NAPA won the Festival da Canção with the song Deslocado, earning a total of 17 points: as much as Diana Vilarinho, who ended up second as the public score for NAPA was higher. Thus, they will represent Portugal at ESC 2025 in Basel in May.
