

This Saturday, there will be four more selection shows for the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2025… including the finals of Denmark and Germany, which will choose their representatives.

20h00, Denmark – Dansk Melodi Grand Prix: DR 1

- Format: The Dansk Melodi Grand Prix has only one show, which takes place at the Jyske Bank Boxen in Herning. There are eight participating competitors, who will perform in a single round. The results will be determined equally, with 50% from the jury and 50% from the public.
- Voting: 50% jury / % public
- Other details: Two special guests are confirmed for the DMGP: Birthe Kjær and Saba, who won the competition in 1989 and 2024, respectively.

- Format: The last six participants will take the stage at the Husqvarna Garden in Jönköping, performing only once. The voting, which is solely from the public, takes place in two stages: in the first stage, the winner is determined. In the second stage, the remaining ranking is decided, with one more contestant advancing to the final and one advancing to the «Final Qual». As this is the last elimination round, the «Final Qual» will be held, with a separate vote where the highest-scoring contestant will go to the final… as well as the most-voted contestant among the third-place finishers across all eliminations.

- Format: Germany will choose its representative for ESC 2025. Nine participants will perform again in the final, in two stages. In the first stage, all contestants will perform a cover and their candidate song, with five being selected by the professional jury to advance to the second round. In the second round, the public alone will decide the winner.
- Voting: 100% jury (1st. round) / 100% public (2nd. round)
- Other details: On the jury panel are Stefan Raab, Yvonne Catterfeld, the winner of ESC 2024 Conchita Wurst, and Nico Santos.

- Format: Ten more contestants will take the stage at the Festival da Canção 2025, at the RTP studios in Lisbon. Each will perform only once, but there will be two rounds of voting. In the first round, both the public and the jury will vote, with each having a 50% weight. The top five will advance directly to the final. Afterward, voting will reopen, but only the public will participate to select the sixth finalist.

- Other details: Although it hasn’t been specified which, there will also be special guests in this semifinal. RTP has invited for this edition of the Festival da Canção: Os Assessores (with Ana Bacalham, Sara Correia, and Selma Uamusse); João Borsch (with Maria João and Huca); and Expresso Transatlântico (with Ana Lua Caiano and The Legendary Tigerman). Fogo Fogo (with Orquestra das Batukadeiras de Portugal) performed in semi-final 1.
