The hosts of the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2025 are almost set to be revealed. The announcement is scheduled for January 20 at a press event to be held at the Frank O. Gehry Auditorium in Basel at 15h00 (CET time).

The moderation will be handled by Joel Grolimund. The announcement came in a statement from the broadcaster SRG SSR, cited by various media outlets, including the ESC Discord. This will be the first time since 1989 that Switzerland hosts the ESC, following their victory last year with Nemo and the song The Code.

The event is scheduled for May 13, 15, and 17 at the St. Jakobshalle in Basel, with Reto Peritz and Moritz Stadler as the executive producers. A total of 38 countries will participate.

In recent years, the number of hosts for the ESC has varied: in 2024, there were only Petra Mede and Malin Åkerman, while in 2023, Alesha Dixon, Hannah Waddingham, and Julia Sanina hosted, with Graham Norton joining for the final. Since 2013, there has been no single host. In 1989, when the ESC was last held in Switzerland, the presentation was by Lolita Morena and Jacques Deschenaux.
