Erika Vikmann will represent Finland at the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2025 with the daring song Ich Komme. Apparently, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) raised some concerns about the performance, but did not request any changes.
The artist told the newspaper Expressen: “It’s not just one thing, it’s everything: my clothes, what the song is about, how I move on stage. The EBU said it’s a bit too sexual. They want me to cover my butt”.
Without going into details, Erika Vikmann also said: “We have to play by their rules and change my outfit. […]. They think the problem with my performance is that it’s «too much», but my whole thing is being «too much»”.
Anssi Auto from the Finnish public broadcaster Yle clarified that there were discussions with the EBU, but no request was made to change anything in the performance.
