The participants for Finland’s selection for the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2025 will only be announced on January 8. However, speculation is already swirling around one potential name for UMK.
It’s Erika Vikman. The singer competed in 2020 and garnered massive support from Eurovision fans with her song Cicciolina. Despite winning the public vote and achieving significant success in Finland, she finished in second place.
According to Viispupodi, Erika Vikman is now preparing for another attempt to represent Finland. This comes as she is also working on her second album in collaboration with Chisu and her husband, Jori Roosberg.
Finland is enjoying a strong streak of results in the ESC, with four consecutive qualifications for the final since 2021. In 2024, the country finished in 19th place with the song No Rules! by Windows95man.
