Azerbaijan reveals Eurovision 2025 representative next week

The representative of Azerbaijan at the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2025 will be announced next week.

The broadcaster iTV informed that the act will be revealed on February 4th. The candidate was selected from 154 applicants, who were narrowed down to 12 by a jury of 16 members: eight international and eight from Azerbaijan.

For the first time, the jury’s voting was completely anonymous. No specific date for the song’s release was mentioned, though Azerbaijan usually releases it in March – with a few exceptions.

Among the jury members are former Azerbaijani representatives in the ESC, Aysel (2009) and Dihaj (2017), as well as the director-general of iTV, Balakishi Gasimov, and the director of the public radio, DJ Fateh.
