The broadcaster AVROTROS recently announced that 331 songs have been submitted for the selection process to determine the Netherlands’ representative at the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2025. Among the hopefuls are some well-known names.
Although AVROTROS has not officially revealed any participants, several artists have shared their submissions on social media. Anouk, who competed in Eurovision 2013, and Douwe Bob, the Netherlands’ representative in 2016, are two notable names.
This marks the first time Anouk has attempted to return to Eurovision since her initial appearance. Meanwhile, Douwe Bob had already applied for the 2024 contest, but AVROTROS ultimately chose Joost Klein for that year.
Additionally, Wulf has confirmed on social media that one of his songs is among the submissions. Wulf was part of the interval act during Eurovision 2021 in Rotterdam alongside Afrojack. The duo Tangerine also revealed to the newspaper De Stentor that they have entered the competition.
The selection of the Netherlands’ representative for Eurovision 2025 will be an internal process, with television commentator Cornald Maas revealing on the program Beau that the decision could be made as early as January.
